Watch the sunset together

Whisper to each other

Cook for each other

Walk in the rain

Hold hands

Buy gifts for each other

Buy Roses for each other

Find out their favorite cologne/perfume and wear it

Go for a long walk down the beach at midnight

Write poetry for each other

Hugs are the universal medicine

Always be truthful to each other

Spend every second possible together

Look into each other’s eyes while talking

Put love notes in their pockets when they aren’t looking

Sing to each other

Take him to dinner and do the dinner for two deal

Dance together

Make excuses to call them often

Even if you are really busy doing something, go out of your way to call and say I love you

Remember your dreams and tell him about them

Tell each other your most sacred secrets/fears

Go to temple together / worship together

Go to romantic movie together

Learn from each other and don’t make the same
mistake twice

Describe the joy you feel just to be with him

Make sacrifices for each other

Dedicate songs to him on the radio/TV

Stand up for them when someone talks trash

Click photos of each other

Go for long drives together

Go to restaurants and try his favorite dishes

And always remember to say, “I Love you”

Never forget goodnight wish

Things to Look Forward To After your Wedding

1) The Honeymoon: Big Fat Indian weddings are HECTIC.  You’ve hardly had any privacy with your better half. So, what better way to spend some quality time with him than at the honeymoon before you gets drawn into the nitty-gritty of the daily routine? Honeymoons are perfect for relaxation, and after dealing with the inevitable stress of wedding planning, a little pampering is definitely needed.

 2) The post wedding rituals: Indian wedding celebrations do not end with the Reception; they continue for almost over the entirety of the first year. These post wedding rituals can be fun and you will get chance to spend good time with your family.

 3) Wearing the Mangalsutra/wedding ring/ sindoor : Now that you are a “Mrs”, it is indeed fun displaying the Mangalsutra, the wedding ring and the Sindoor. Hey- you even get to change your name on all documents (as well as your social media pages) and tick the ‘Married’ box on official forms!

 4) Viewing the Photo album/Wedding DVD together: While the Smartphone has made it possible to view pictures instantly; it is an entirely different matter going through the wedding album together. You almost certainly must have missed many events which you can catch up through the wedding video CD.

 5) Snacking without the guilt: Now that your D-day is over, you can relax a bit and have all the sugary carbs that you have been avoiding for getting in shape for the wedding day.

 6) Changing your hairstyle: You no longer have to continue growing your hair (a “traditional must-have” for most Indian brides), you can change your hairstyle and can experiment your looks in whatever way you feel like.

 7) Opening the presents: It is the perfect time to open the wedding gifts and even start using some of them.

 8) Cooking for him: The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. You will look forward to cook all ‘his’ favorite dishes. Why not cook together, while you are at it?

 9) Setting up the home together: It is so much fun shopping and setting up the home after marriage.

 10) Introducing each other as ‘husband’ and ‘wife’: This is one thing so many new brides (and grooms) look forward to after their wedding day.

The wedding celebrations might be over, but the marriage is forever and you will (and must) certainly celebrate it through the lifetime.
